The Solar System is located in a galaxy called "La Voie Lactée". A galaxy is an enormous cluster of stars, who takes the shape of a disc. Actually we think that there is a blackhole at the center of the galaxies. The solar system is approxymatly at 28 000 light years from the center of our galaxy. The following picture is showing our position in the galaxy.
