LUNCH
- between
12:00 and 1:30 p.m.
In
England, Lunch isn't a very important meal compared to the other
food breaks of the day.
English,
can either have a brunch around eleven o'clock replacing the breakfast
and the lunch or a light and easy lunch to prepare for the people
going treat back to work.
Many children at school will have a 'packed lunch' which consists
of a sandwich, a packet of crisps, a piece of fruit and a drink.
(Sandwiches are also known as a butty or sarnie in some parts of
the UK).
For
example a typical lunch can be a plat of baked beans served onto
a nicely toasted slice of bread spread with a layer of melted cheddar.
Otherwise a simple Cornish Paste which is a kind of hot sandwich
with lots of cooked vegetables served in a nice crispy pastry ! |
