The ecology of Madagascar is very interesting.

80% of the vegetals, which exist in the Island, are endemic of it, the most famous is also the emblem of the country: The Ravinala. A tree of 10 to 15m of height, in the legend it is the link between the human and the nature. It is also called "the tree of the traveller" because it contains water and its leaves can be used to build a little house. The ravinala is also the logo of the Malagasy aerial company "Air Madagascar". In the animal reign, the symbol of the Island is the Lemurian, a kind of monkey. There are more than 10 endemic species of them in the Island. Take a plane and come you will see, that this Island is a little paradise!
