  In 1837, Charles Lewis Tiffany and John B.Young create Tiffany & Young, an luxious office equipment empire on Broadway in New-York. Tiffany & Young choose the blue turquoise tone to symbolize the quality reputation of the society, colour that stills remain and which is now completely assimilated to the home.
Bags, brochures, boxes are created in the colours and values of the company : elegance and exclusivity.

I n 1951, the silverware models beginn to attract attention of the whole world.


In 1853, Charles Tiffany assumes by his own the control of the company and rename it Tiffany & Co.
 
 

In 1862, Tiffany supplies the swords, and the flags of the union army.

In 1867, Tiffany is the first american firm to win a price of excellence for its silverware.

In 1873, the Boston museum acquires a Tiffany’s silver and copper cruche. It is the first time that the company is represented in a museum.

In 1877, Charles Tiffany decides to find what will be the ' Tiffany ' diamond with yellow shade. He finds it in 1878 in an South African mine. This famous diamond will be cup in 90 facets, 32 more than a traditional one.

 

In 1886, Its the celebration of the Tiffany’s solitaire.

In 1887, Tiffany acquires the jewelries of the French crown, while the medias call it already the king of the diamond.

In 1902, Louis Comfort Tiffany takes the succession of his father at the head of Tiffany & Co.

In 1940, Tiffany moves in at 57 of the 5th avenue in New-York.

In 1963, Tiffany & Co opens a shop in San Francisco, it’s the first one out of New York.

In 1968, the first lady of the USA, Mrs. Lyndon Baines Johnson asks Tiffany to realize the china of the White House.

In 1972, Tiffany & Co settles up in Japan.

In 1974, the drawer Elsa Peretti enters at Tiffany and imagines an remarkable inside collection.
