The three Tiffany & Co's famous designers : Schlumberger, Picasso and Peretti were very different and because of their creations in the company their are recognized in the whole world for being the best jewelry, china and silverware designers. There are three short summaries of their life and work in Tiffany & Co.

Jean Schlumberger (1907-1987 ) was born in Alsace, France. He joined Tiffany & Co. in 1956 because of his recognized genius. There he had the freedom of creation with many yellow beryls, amethysts, emeralds, sapphires and aquamarines on yellow gold. Today his creations are found in the collections of museums and individuals worldwide. On the Tiffany’s New York main floor you can visit the case dedicated to the “great innovator”’s designs and view a selection of his statement pieces on the second floor.

The designs of Elsa Peretti have revolutionized the world of modern jewelry. The Florence lady joined Tiffany & Co in 1974. Her first collection was very criticized because of her inspirations : bones, hearts, apples, snakes… She is also famous for her works in sterling silver and her innovative designs which captured a disarming vision of the natural world.

Paloma Picasso, the daughter of Pablo Picasso, born in Paris, was at first a stylist for avant-garde productions. She entered the jewelry company in 1979, and one year later, introduced an embraced, imaginative, vital and innovative collection with bold scale, brilliant color contrasts with exotic gemstones and highly polished textured surfaces. She has now an international reputation as one of the world’s premier contemporary jewelry designers.
