The BBC has a large collection of Beatles recordings,
mostly comprising original studio sessions from 1963 to 1968. In 1994,
the best of the BBC sessions were released in “Live at the BBC”. |
 |
In 1995 and 1996, songs and live performances
the Beatles never thought good to release were included in the three
“Anthology” collections of CD. |
 |
 |
 |
In 2000, a compilation album named “1”
was released, containing almost every number-one single released by
the band from 1962 to 1970. This collection sold 3.6 million copies
in its first week. |
 |
More recently, in November 2006, Georges and Gilles Martin, the
producer of almost all the Beatles’ records, released “LOVE”,
a remix of original Beatles recordings, celebrated by a theatrical
production of the company Cirque du Soleil in Las Vegas.
