A HARD DAY'S NIGHT 1963

It's the Beatles' first feature film, a sort of documentary combined with music and comedy. The band have to use their ruse and wit to avoid the pursuig fans and press to reach their television performance. this is spite of Paul's troublemaking grandfather (played by Wilfred Bramfell) and Ringo's arrest. The Director used a documentary style of filming to capture the claustrophobia of beatlemania. Actually, the story is a musical-fantasy version of the Beatles'relationship to real-life fame at the time. We could see them as a spectacular vision of youth and freedom.

HELP! 1965

This comedy adventure follows the exploits of the group as they attempt to escape the actions of an evil mysterious cult. Will the Beatles survive being eater by tigers, being shrunk, blown up, or kidnapped? This film shows The Beatles's own sense of humour. It contains classic tracks such as "Ticket to ride", "Help!". Help! has been regarded by many as a parody of contemporary Bond films, complete with crazy powers, exotic locations including the snowy mountains of Austria and the bahamas, while outwitting their pursuers and singing great songs.

MAGICAL MYSTERY TOUR 1967

It's an original movie produced for TV which is based on a bus trip with the Beatles accross the English countryside; Away in the sky, beyond the clouds, four magicians turn the Most Ordinary Coach Trip into a Magical Mystery Tour. This tour invloves strange activities, such as a race in which each tour group member employs a different mode of transport.

YELLOW SUBMARINE 1968

Once upon a time... there wa unearthly paradise called "Pepperland", protected by Sergeant Pepper- a place where happiness and music reigned. But it was attacked by the terrible Blue Manies, which sent in their army led by the malicious Flying Glove to destroy all that was good. Armed with their humour, songs, and their yellow submarine, the Beatles covered the rough seas ( the sea of Time, the sea of Science, the sea of Monsters, the sea of Nothing) to bring down the forces of bluedom. At the end, the heroes make peace with the Blue Manies. This movie, which includes animations (graphic atyles, contrasts of color, 3 dimensional sequences), peace, love, captured the essence of the Sixties and the songs "Eleanor Rigby", "When I'm 64", "Lucy in the Sky With Diamonds", and "All You Need Is Love". make it more enjoyable.
