Rhythm'n'Blues

Rhythm'n'Blues (or R&B or even Runub) is a descriptive term that has never had a clear single meaning. It became popular among Black Americans in the fifties. It’s a combination of Blues and Jazz with a strong beat.
It replaced the term race music, which was deemed offensive, and was initially used to identify the style of music that later paved the way for rock and roll. The most famous singers were Fats Domino or the Platters.
