When we look
at it, the viola looks like the violin very much. But in fact, it
is five centimetres longer than it. However, the norm of the viola
may vary by eight centimetres from one instrument to another, contrary
to the violin and the cello which have standard ones.
The viola owns
four strings tuned in fifth (C,G,D,A), and its timbre, very deep
and warm, is perfectly recognisable. |
